Smoke & Steel

Great BBQ gifts are never just a guess.

Three decisions make a personalised gift land — how it's customised, what it says, and the occasion it's for. Get these right and it reads as considered, not last-minute.

1. Choose how it's personalised

Every piece is customised one of four ways. Engraving laser-cuts free text into wood or steel — a name, date or short message. A monogram is up to three initials, clean and classic. A branding iron carries a reversed plate that sears your initials into the meat itself. Printed items (aprons) take a name or nickname in hard-wearing ink. The product page tells you which applies.

2. Get the text right

This is the bit that matters — personalised items can't be returned, so spelling counts. Keep engraving to a name, date or short line (there's a character limit on each product). Monograms are three initials; decide the order up front (traditionally first · surname · middle). Not sure? Our assistant will confirm the exact text with you before anything is cut.

3. Match the occasion

A branding iron is a brilliant crowd-pleaser for a birthday or Father's Day. An engraved oak board or Damascus knife, marked with a name and date, makes a proper wedding or anniversary gift. Buying for someone setting up a new garden? A boxed gift set covers it with nothing else to buy. Shop by occasion from the menu if you want us to narrow it down.
